Born in Oskaloosa Iowa and raised in Minneapolis. Graduated from West High School Minneapolis 1960.
I entered Macalester College St Paul Minnesota in Fall 1960. As a sophomore I joined Peace Corps in May 1962 for Iran I as a physical education and English instructor and was assigned to the Agricultural High School in Mashad Iran and served until May 1964.
Returning to Macalester, I graduated in 1966 with a BA in Geography. Began graduate school at Eastern Michigan University and was drafted in October 1966. I joined the Air Force and was Commissioned as an Officer where I served from 1967- 1976, in California, Bangkok Thailand and as a Faculty Member at the US Air Force Academy Colorado Springs in the Geography Department
Leaving the Air Force, I was Executive Director of Minnesota Public Disclosure Board/Ethics Board from 1976-1980. In 1980 I was appointed the second Staff Director at the Federal Election Commission Washington, DC, serving until 1983.
Thereafter for 25 years I worked in various senior management positions in real estate management in Cleveland, New York, and Fort Worth, Texas, until 2006.
Prior to retiring in 2021, I spent 15 years as a Development Officer for Lambda Legal in New York, focusing on law firms, corporations and high net worth individuals for organizational support.
Currently reside in Cleveland Ohio with my husband of 34 years. We have a married son and daughter and two grandchildren.
