March 20, 2021 - Nowruz

PCIA celebrated Nowruz March 20th with a Zoom program attended by at least 41 members.  Attendance involved using SilkStart's Event function to register (free) which then provided the URL.

The program featured Terry Hashemi who explained her Haft Sin table.  In addiiton to items beginning with the "s" sound, some had special family significance for those who have passed on.

Mostafa Rahbar recited Persian poetry using his sonorous voice.

Part III was a discussion of Nowruz by Mary Hegland, an anthropologist who lived in an Iranian village.
